FAQs

What is “Sparkle?

Sparkle is ICSJ’s single largest fundraiser and gala event. It is entirely volunteer-led and benefits all students! We depend on this event to operate our school, invest in our children’s futures and “help our children shine!”

Where does the Sparkle money go?

Since tuition alone does not cover the cost of the ICSJ education, proceeds from the event benefit many causes including Teacher Retention, Professional Development, Tuition Assistance, Learning Spaces, Technology and other school improvements. (See Why We Sparkle for more information)

When, Where and What to Wear

Sparkle is scheduled for February 22. This year's theme is Denim & Diamonds! More details will be shared soon!

How does the Online Auction Work?

Various packages and items donated by ICSJ parents and local businesses are in the online Silent Auction.  Electronic bidding will begin one week prior to Sparkle, and bidding will close the night of the event at the provided time.  All bidding for the silent auction is done electronically on your mobile phone, and credit cards are used for payment. Special instructions will be sent home about online bidding. You can bid, even if you don’t attend Sparkle!

What are Sign-Up Parties?

Parents host fun and unique parties to raise money for the school. Parties are for either adults, students or families. To attend a party, you need to purchase an individual spot as indicated in the party's advertisements.  For spring sign-up parties, spots are usually available for purchase in the Sparkle online auction. Examples of past parties included: Father/Daughter Dance, Babes & Bunco, Old Town Pub Crawl, etc.  Learn more here.
