Homecoming 2019

Over the last 10 years, the ICSJ athletic program has grown to include over 80% of the student body in grades four through eight. To celebrate this robust and successful program, ICSJ launched it first ever Homecoming the weekend of October 18. The festivities began with a rousing Pep Rally on the Hill Street Campus. Student Council members introduced the athletes in our fall sports (cross country, flag football and girls volleyball) and the ICSJ Rock Band taught the student body the ICSJ fight song. Kidolphy was on hand and each grade celebrated their Dolphin spirit with their signature classroom songs.

Friday and Saturday, Dolphins showcased their spirit and talent on the volleyball court, cross country course and flag football field. One Dolphin even competed in the IESA State Cross Country meet in Normal, IL. We are so proud of this Dolphin who achieved his season goal of qualifying for and competing in the State meet!

We concluded the weekend with students, parents, faculty and alumni gathering for a Sunday full of service, sport and spirit. Families gathered at our Hill Street Campus for a morning of community service. Armed with claws, gloves and oversized trash bags, families worked to clean the grounds surrounding Seward Park.

Then kids and adults participated in a 1K Family Fun Run around the Hill Street Campus. ICSJ definitely has future state cross country qualifiers in this crew!

The perfect ending to this Homecoming weekend? Family Mass at St. Joseph Church, of course! Over 300 people enjoyed a wonderful Family Mass celebrating our spirit and ICSJ Family.

Thank you ICSJ Community for a fantastic inaugural Homecoming weekend. We are already planning the fun for next fall!
