On March 17, 2020, schools across the state of Illinois were closed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Immediately, ICSJ launched an e-Learning program to engage students at all grade levels. Online platforms such as Zoom, Flipgrid, and Screencast, combined with detailed lesson plans and teacher check-ins, allowed students to seamlessly transition to their temporary home learning environments. While we are unable to fully replicate the classroom experience during the "Stay at Home" mandate, e-Learning enabled ICSJ students, faculty, staff and families to stay virtually connected while physically distant.
