Our Educators

Immaculate Conception–St. Joseph School is committed to educating and developing each individual student’s spiritual, intellectual, physical and civic potential to its fullest degree. This is achieved by providing two certified teachers in every classroom from Prekindergarten through Grade 5. Students in Grades 6 – 8 study in a departmentalized manner, learning from teachers who specialize in specific subject areas.

Outside of the core classroom instruction, ICSJ faculty includes two full-time music teachers, two full-time Spanish teachers, and two full-time physical education teachers. Additionally, a full-time art teacher, technology integration specialist, librarian and school nurse work across both the North Park and Hill Street Campuses. These educators are supported daily by two full-time learning specialists, a full-time literacy specialist, three full-time school counselors, an Early Education Coordinator and an Athletic Director.

The ICSJ staff, comprised of 70 professionals, is led by our co-Principals, two Assistant Principals, and our Pastor, Father Larry. 70% of the ICSJ team holds a master’s degree or is currently completing a master’s degree. The members of the administrative team hold master’s degrees in education and the required Type 75 Illinois Administrative Certificate.

With a strong emphasis on creating an authentic professional learning community among our talented faculty, professional development and a growth mindset have always been core values at Immaculate Conception St. Joseph School.
