As a dynamic learning community serving students across a wide age range, Immaculate Conception–St. Joseph School has continually expanded its facilities to provide the space, resources, and technology necessary for an exceptional academic and faith-centered experience at each of our two state-of-the-art campuses.

North Park Campus | Preschool – 3rd Grade

Immaculate Conception School reopened in September 2002 in the mid-century school building that originally housed the parish school from 1952 to 1980.

Since then, the campus has been thoughtfully expanded to support a dynamic Early Childhood and Primary program. Two modern additions, completed in 2003 and 2008, created spaces designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and growth, including:

• Four spacious Early Childhood classrooms

• A large indoor gross motor room featuring a 12-foot rock climbing wall

• A dedicated Early Childhood STEAM Lab and a STEM Lab for hands-on learning and exploration

• Music and art rooms that inspire creativity

• A library that fosters a love of reading

• A Spanish classroom, where each grade level participates in Spanish instruction twice weekly

Our youngest learners also enjoy daily play on the secure outdoor playground, while Kindergarten through 3rd grade students gather for lunch in the multi-purpose Parish Hall. Faith formation is at the heart of ICSJ. Students at North Park regularly participate in prayer services and monthly Masses at Immaculate Conception Church, helping them build a strong foundation in Catholic identity from the very beginning of their educational journey.

Hill Street Campus | 4th – 8th Grade

As Immaculate Conception School grew in the early 2000s and our two parishes became connected, the school was renamed Immaculate Conception–St. Joseph School. In August 2011, we opened our second campus just a few blocks south at 363 West Hill Street, near Orleans Street. This modern 60,000-square-foot building is designed to support a rigorous and well-rounded education for students in grades 4 through 8.

The campus features:

• Two classrooms for each grade level

• A science lab for hands-on experimentation

• A STEM lab fostering critical thinking and innovation

• A library that encourages a love of reading and research

• Art and music rooms to cultivate creativity

• A foreign language classroom

• A full-size gymnasium with a 24-foot rock climbing wall

• A full-size stage with professional lighting and sound

• A recreation room and student cafeteria

• Secure outdoor spaces including a patio adjacent to the cafeteria and a sport court added in 2016

Faith formation remains central to the Hill Street experience. Students attend weekly Mass at St. Joseph Church, which also hosts First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Graduation Masses for ICSJ students, supporting their spiritual growth throughout their middle school years.
