Approximately 75% of students in Grades 4-8 participate in the ICSJ interscholastic athletic program. As fulfillment of the ICSJ mission to develop the whole child, including their physical growth, athletics play an integral role in an ICSJ education. Through participation in the athletics program, students develop confidence and discipline while learning the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

The athletic program for students in grades 4-6 is developmental in nature and focuses on building foundational skills for each sport. In grades 7-8, the athletics program becomes more competitive in nature, allowing students to hone their physical skills and prepare their minds and bodies for high school competition.

As a proud member of the Chicago Catholic Youth League, ICSJ offers a variety of athletic programs throughout the school year.
